Reflecting on Four Years: A Journey of Faith, Service, and Discernment
Dear Friends,
As I sit down to reflect on my journey of faith over the past four years, it feels as though it was just yesterday that I made the decision to join the Catholic Church. Yet, in that seemingly short span of time, my life has been filled with a richness that only a life lived in service to God can provide.
One of the most significant roles I have taken on during this time is serving as the Grand Knight of Forest City Council #3. This position has been both rewarding and challenging, pushing me to grow in ways I never anticipated. Through it, I have learned the true meaning of servant leadership and the importance of community within the Church.
In addition to my role as Grand Knight, I have continued to serve my parish as a Lector and as a member of the choir. These roles have allowed me to deepen my connection to the liturgy and to the Word of God, enriching my faith journey in ways I never imagined.
Outside of the church walls, I have dedicated myself to my studies, pursuing a bachelor's degree in history. As I near the completion of this degree, I find myself drawn to further study in sacred theology. I am excited about the prospect of delving deeper into the mysteries of our faith and gaining a deeper understanding of God's plan for His people.
Yet, amidst the busyness of life, I have also been discerning a call to a deeper vocation within the Church. Whether it be to the priesthood or the permanent diaconate, I have felt a stirring within my heart, urging me to explore these paths further. It is a decision that weighs heavily on my mind, but one that I approach with prayer and trust in God's guidance.
As I look back on these past four years, I am filled with gratitude for the ways in which God has worked in my life. My faith has grown stronger, my service more fervent, and my desire to follow Christ more resolute. And so, as I continue on this journey, I ask for your continued prayers, that I may have the wisdom and discernment to follow wherever God may lead me.
Yours in Christ,
Anthony Moran
