Exploring Divinity: Delving into the Identity of Jesus in RCIA

In my third RCIA class, we embarked on a thought-provoking exploration centered around a fundamental question: Is Jesus God? This captivating inquiry was illuminated through a compelling video presentation, expertly crafted to delve into the depths of theological inquiry.

Led by a seasoned theologian, the video deftly navigated through the pages of the Book of Mark, drawing upon poignant examples to unravel the mystery surrounding Jesus' divine nature. As we journeyed through the Gospel narratives, I found myself captivated by the profound insights unveiled with each passage.

The theologian's adept analysis shed light on the multifaceted identity of Jesus Christ, presenting compelling evidence to support the assertion of His divinity. Through meticulous examination of scriptural references and theological principles, we were invited to contemplate the profound implications of Jesus' divine nature.

This exploration not only stirred my intellectual curiosity but also ignited a deeper appreciation for the significance of Jesus' identity within the Christian faith. My Vocations Journey: First Steps

Dear Readers, I am excited to share a significant update on my journey of faith. For some time now, I have felt a calling from the Lord to discern the priesthood in His Holy Church. After much encouragement from Fr. Juan, our newest Parochial Vicar, I reached out to the Diocese of Norwich to take the next steps in this discernment process. The journey has not been without its challenges, particularly with recent transitions in the vocations office staff. However, I was finally able to connect with the Diocese's new Vocations Director, Fr. Jeffrey R. Ellis. Until recently, Fr. Ellis served as the Parochial Vicar at St. Michael Parish in Pawcatuck, which is also the home parish of my late Parochial Vicar, Fr. George Richards. Fr. Ellis and I met for dinner at a local diner, where we had an in-depth conversation about my call to the priesthood, my family background, and various aspects of the vocations journey.
