For some, this question poses a significant challenge, while others effortlessly conjure up a response. Traditionally, Lenten sacrifices often revolve around abstaining from indulgences like chocolate, social media, or coffee. Yet, for me, the decision requires deeper contemplation. In 2018, I attempted to forgo sweets, a resolution that, I must confess, ended in dismal failure due to the irresistible allure of cookies served at my Congregational Church. Lent, a sacred season of introspection and anticipation, calls us to journey alongside our Lord, Jesus Christ, as we await His death and glorious resurrection. For me, this Lent holds profound significance, marking a series of milestones in my journey as a Catholic.
